 What kinds of licenses do you offer, and what do they cost?

We offer Server, Developer and Developer Redistributable licenses for PanelBar.NET.

 When I purchase a license, do I pay for updates as new versions are released?

You will receive all minor updates to any product you purchase, free-of-charge. For example, if you purchased version 1.4 of PanelBar.NET, you will receive updates to all "1.x" versions of the product (e.g. 1.51, 1.6 etc.) at no cost.

In order to receive major product updates with significant functionality added, you must upgrade to the newer version buy paying the upgrade cost. For example, if you purchased version 1.5 of PanelBar.NET, you must pay the upgrade cost to move to version 2.0.

This does not apply to Developer Redistributable License holders as they are entitled to free major upgrades aswell.

 I purchased PanelBar.NET Pro. Can I use my License Key with future versions?

Yes. You can use your current Product License Key with any corresponding PanelBar.NET version 1.x component product update. When you download and run the updated PanelBar.NET setup program, simply use your current license key and the updated version of that product will be unlocked for full production use.

Please note that future major updates to the individual component products will require a paid upgrade (excluding developer redistributable license holders).

 If I purchase a particular type of license now, can I upgrade my license later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade your license type at any time by simply paying an upgrade cost, which will be significantly discounted due to your prior purchase. For pricing details please contact

 What forms of payment do you accept?

Through our online store we are pleased to accept customer orders via online credit card, fax, phone, mail & purchase order. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB and debit cards with the Visa and MasterCard logo.

 What forms of currency do you accept?

All listed prices and payments are in U.S. dollars. Our online storefront allows you to make your order in the following currencies: US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Euros, British Pounds Sterling, Australian Dollars, Japanese Yen

 Is your product available through any distributors or resellers?

We do not currently have any agreements with third-party resellers or distributors.

We may offer our products through select resellers in the future.

 Do you provide discounts for educational institutions, charitable organizations?

Yes, we offer special educational and non-profit discounts. Please contact and include your credentials (an email sent from a qualified institution is usually sufficient). You will then be provided with a discount coupon you can use in your purchase.

 I've lost my Product License Key; what should I do?

Please contact Support. Be sure to include as much of the original purchase information as possible, including the customer information (individual and company name, including e-mail address/domain), the product & level of license purchased, and the approximate purchase date. These pieces of information will allow us to more quickly track down your order and provide you with your Product License Key.

 Help! My credit card is being declined when I try to place an order.

If you are having difficulties placing an order online, and/or are receiving an error, please contact us at, and we will help you to complete your order.

In order for us to best serve you, please make a note of the exact error message and/or behavior you are experiencing, and any error messages or reference numbers displayed.

 I've decided I want a refund. How do I go about getting my money back?

Unfortunately, once the software has been delivered to you, we do not provide refunds. The key reason is that we make available a fully-functional version of the product available for download and testing -- with no disabled features or expiry (only a randomly-rendered warning message). We feel that this should allow any potential customer to fully test and familiarize themselves with the product before making a purchase decision.

The only exception is typically in the case of fraud - where an order has been placed using a stolen credit card. If this is the situation, please contact with contact information for your credit card issuer, and once we confirm a case of fraud we will issue a full refund.

 What does a "Developer License" mean exactly?

A Developer License is for a single individual who wishes to develop and distribute multiple applications.

A Developer Redistributable License is for teams of developers wishing to incorporate PanelBar.NET into their own application within the same company.

 What Source Code is included with the Developer Redistributable License?

The Developer Redistributable Licenses include full server-side C# code for the PanelBar.NET Pro control, VB.NET Source Code will be available with the release of our new .NET 2005 compatible controls and will be offered free to any existing Redistributable License holder upon request. Our source code includes all the associated Visual Studio.NET project files.
